When you start planning a garden-themed wedding, you should follow these tips:

What is a garden wedding?

OK, we know this sounds obvious, but there’s more than one way to have a garden wedding. Although, of course, it is useful to celebrate your wedding in an idyllic garden, you do not need it. You can encapsulate a person’s mind and Mood only with decor.

To help you visualize, You can think of Bridgerton or a midsummer night’s dream. You can even imagine yourself in the middle of Monet’s lily pond. Imagine lanterns and lush vines and rose bushes. The fact is that you can surround yourself with nature, whether you are indoors or outdoors.

When it comes to the best places for a garden theme, you can really choose the one that works for what you imagine. It could be a bare slate floor, a glamorous ballroom, a barn, even a medieval castle. However, if you really want to get into the topic, you can, of course, look for a botanical garden, an orchard or a historical mansion with lush outdoor areas. Some of our most popular garden wedding venues are:

  • Swan Mansion
  • Greystone Mansion
  • Vizcaya

What are the garden wedding colors?

When it comes to choosing your color palette, a quick search on Pinterest or Google for “gardens” brings a lot of Inspiration. You will quickly see that with your wedding colors they can be as soft (blush) or bright (Fuschia) as you like, and it depends on what attracts them the most. Our suggestion to find out which colors you like is to store images on a secret Pinterest board and search for general terms such as “Monet Garden” and “gardens in Spain”.”Then, having pinned a Ton, take a Break. After a few weeks, go back and look at what colors attract you. If you choose 4-5 colors, you have a good Palette to choose from. Read more about how to choose your wedding colors here.

Garden-themed wedding ideas

You can start assembling a garden wedding theme by thinking about your different wedding categories. In addition to the Inspiration in the Gallery above, the following prompts will help you think about how to incorporate a garden mood throughout:

Dt:

Look for wedding stationery with calligraphy and other frills, as well as green and flowers. Watercolor invitations are also a nice option, as are paper items with pressed flowers (real or printed!). And do not stop only at the invitation itself! You want to carry the theme during your wedding day with matching ceremony programs, accompanying cards and menus.

Decor:

If you are getting married in a garden environment, you can let your environment show the way in wedding decoration. You want to emphasize what already exists and bring floral arrangements that are an extension of this garden itself.

For an outdoor ceremony, consider foam balls hanging on each chair as you walk down the aisle. Your ceremonial arch can also serve as a beautiful focal point, whether you are getting married in an attic or in the garden, and it can often be turned into a photo backdrop or after dress up a white wall at your reception.

A bohemian atmosphere is also ideal for wedding venues outside the garden. Think beaded chandeliers, flowing curtains and floral arrangements accented with Pampas grass. We also like the foam table runners with lanterns for a romantic and flower-free look for your reception tables.

Clothing:

There are so many options for fun clothes at a wedding with garden motifs, including floral prints for your bridal party and oversized flowers for the groom’s and groomsmen’s boutonniere. When it comes to your wedding dress, you have a lot of flexibility, from a silk slip dress to an embroidered ball gown. Don’t forget to add a splash of color whenever you can. For example, a light sapphire shoe or a bold pink lip is a great way to include flower-inspired colors in images. The same goes for the groom: a bright clutch, a floral tie or even socks go perfectly with a garden theme.

Foodstuffs:

Let your caterer’s creativity shine with appetizers and appetizers with edible flowers. You can even have garden-inspired drinks served from a lemonade stand for a cocktail hour. And don’t forget the Wedding Cake! You can dress up a simple white frosted wedding cake with roses or Lilacs, even green ones!
